We didn’t have much snow or really cold weather this past winter so I guess we can be thankful for that.
It won’t be too long before the Mountains in this part of North Carolina start to spring forth with blooming trees and flowers.
My wife Gail is already getting me primed up to get the garden prepped for this year’s planting! As if I didn’t have enough to do! Oh well, I really do enjoy those home grown tomatoes and squash!
HAVEN HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION STARTS NEW ROADS IN PHASE V
The bulldozers and track hoes are rumbling along in Phase V. We recently changed our road plans due to some new rules that the state of North Carolina has put into force. We are now connecting Phase V to Phase III and IV by going through what used to be lot 66. We purchased lot 66 two months ago with the intension of building the road through it so we could access Phase V.

Joy, Gail and I walked the lots in Phase V two weeks ago and they look great. We will have some nice lots near the lake area and also some lots with great views. Right now is a good time to look at these lots because the trees are bare and you can see the lots better.
Some of these lots have great distant mountain views and all of these lots are close to the pond area, which will be a common area for all land owners to enjoy. The pond even has fish in it at this time! There will also be a hiking trail along one of the creeks that feeds the pond.
The picture above was taken near lots 155 & 156 looking east in Phase V. These roads are just starting to get gravel on them in preparation for final grading. There are some Great NC Mountain Views from this area.
This bulldozer is grading the base gravel that has been put down by the truck in the background. Lots of gravel and work goes into making safe and sturdy roads that will last for a long time. All of our roads follow state specifications and are actually wider than they need to be. We do this so two cars can easily pass one another without having to pull off of the roadway. Wide roads are also good for emergency vehicles to maneuver when needed. The lots in Phase V are some of the best NC Mountain Property that we have in Haven Heights.

HAVEN HEIGHTS CONSTRUCTS SEVERAL COMMON AREAS FOR ALL LAND OWNERS TO ENJOY!!
As we forge ahead with the Haven Heights Subdivision we are also trying to construct several places that will become common land areas. These areas will be land that all lot owners will be able to enjoy. One such area is along the creek at the west entrance and along Magic Creek Lane. This area is about three acres of cleared land that we have seeded with grass. It is an ideal place for a leisurely walk or even a family picnic.
We also have another common area that is located near lot 60 in Phase lll
This is a small area that offers a great view of Marion and the distant NC Mountains to the west.
